LES MEILLEURS

Les mielleurs are those voyageurs that make up the center of the canoe. In our crew this
classification consists of engagers, mangeurs de larde and hivernots. They are the backbone of the
canoe and the soul of the crew. Currently in our crew Jack, Jeff, Pete, Matt, Sam and Phil are the
mielleurs. Les Meilleurs also carrie smaller titles such as cook and quartermaster which belong to
Jack and Jeff respectfully in our crew. A good crew must have a balance of meilleurs and executive.
As our crew grows so will the number of meilleurs where the the executive will aways stay fixed at
gouvernail, avant, bourgeois, and commis. It is also possible to have subcommitees within the
meilleurs to plan and run events removing the extra responsiblities from the executive. Currently our
crew forms subcommities to plan for canoe trips and fund raisers. If you are interested in becoming a
